Ogier won a hat-trick of awards at the Citywealth IFC Awards last night, scooping best law firm in the Caribbean and Jersey, and runner-up in Guernsey.

The firm retained the Law Firm of the Year awards for the Caribbean and Jersey that it won in 2017, and added the runner-up award for Guernsey – the head of the Guernsey trusts team, partner Gavin Ferguson, was in London to collect the awards last night.

Gavin is one of three private client and  trusts partners to have joined Ogier in 2017 – James Campbell joined the Jersey team from Bedell Cristin, and Anthony Partridge joined the Cayman team from Walkers.

Global Head of Private Client and Trusts, Sally Edwards, said: “This is a great way to start 2018.

“Having invested in growing our global trusts team last year with several targeted hires at associate as well as partner level, these awards underline the reputation of the strength of our team.

“It is just four months since we were named International Legal Team of the Year by STEP, and to receive more awards that focus on the international offering of our private client  and trusts teams reflects the skill and hard work of everyone in the team.”

The Citywealth IFC awards highlight excellence in private wealth, and are judged by an international panel, with criteria stressing technical expertise, innovative solutions, client service initiatives, leadership and vision.
