Vicky Fowler, a planning and regeneration partner at international law firm Gowling WLG, has been announced as the new chair of the Compulsory Purchase Association (CPA).

A not-for-profit member organisation that promotes best practice in delivering land for infrastructure, housing and regeneration, Fowler has been a committee member of the CPA since 2015, became vice-chair in 2016 and has now become the association’s first female chair.

The prestigious role will see Fowler use her wealth of expertise to promote best practice, drive the association’s priorities for the coming year and lead its initiatives, including responding to government on compulsory purchase legislation and guidance.
