Gibson Dunn snares Heller litigator Zweifach

Gibson Dunn & Crutcher has hired high-profile Heller Ehrman litigation lawyer Lawrence Zweifach for its New York office.

Zweifach joins the US firm as a partner with Heller lawyers Richard Cashman and Eric Creizman, who join as of counsel and associate respectively.

The move comes after Heller announced plans for dissolution earlier this year (, 26 September).

Gibson Dunn co-chair of litigation, Randy Mastro, said: “Larry is exactly the type of litigation partner we want. He’s an experienced trial lawyer with expertise consistent with the firm’s strengths and a shared commitment to deliver the highest quality legal work to our clients.”

Zweifach’s practice focuses on securities, antitrust litigation and white collar defense and investigations.

In a separate development, Sheppard Mullin has also snared a team of Heller lawyers, recruiting former IP partner Joy Arnold and associate Bhavana Joneja for its New York office.

Sheppard Mullin has embarked on an aggressive lateral hiring spree recently, hiring a number of Heller lawyers this year including New York IP partner Blaine Templeman, Los Angeles litigator Darryl Snider and labour and employment partner Jonathan Stoler.
