GC of Thrones

If anything tells the world that geek knows best, it’s HBO fantasy smash hit Game of Thrones. The medieval show, the most-pirated TV series in history, has got everyone talking about mythical creatures, impending winters and fluffy huskie dogs.

So in this week’s interview with HBO Europe GC Gordon Finlayson, two questions were on the tips of our tongues. Is Finlayson a fan? The answer is an resounding yes, with dwarf Tyrion Lannister his favourite character. The unfurling story of would-be Queen Daenerys Targaryen is a close second.

That covered, how is HBO Europe’s own epic fight against piracy coming along? After all, some media outlets have said that more than a million people had illegally downloaded the first episode of the show’s third season.

“We work with our US colleagues to try to minimise the impact of piracy,” Finlayson told us.

There’s your cliff hanger. You’ll have to pause the show to read the rest.
