The London office of Texan firm Fulbright & Jaworski has snared an energy partner from Watson Farley & Williams (WFW).

WFW partner Susan Farmer is the second lawyer to join Fulbright’s London energy team following the recruitment of Andrew Hart from Freshfields Bruckhaus Derringer in the summer.

Fulbright London managing partner, Lista Cannon, said: “The addition of Susan and Andrew combined with the recent expansion of our Middle East and Asia offices is evidence of Fulbright’s commitment to our worldwide energy capacity and specifically our global LNG and energy projects teams.”

Farmer’s appointment is part of Fulbright’s firmwide strategy aimed at strengthening the energy practice group. The firm now has 220 lawyers practising in its energy group across the world.

A WFW spokesperson was unavailable for comment. The firm is in merger negotiations with Fulbright’s US energy rival Chadbourne & Parke.
