Ogier has recruited experienced M&A lawyer Frederic Pilorget to its Luxembourg corporate and commercial law team to reinforce its German-facing desk.

Frederic – who is admitted in Luxembourg, Paris and New York – has practised for more than 10 years in Luxembourg, and will lead the German desk, offering advice on Luxembourg corporate law and private equity to German clients.

He is one of four German speakers in Ogier’s Luxembourg team, including banking and finance partner Fabien Debroise, senior associate Julia Journee and associate Fiona Schneider. Fabien will continue to lead the German desk on banking and finance matters.

Besides M&A work, Frederic’s practice includes advising corporate clients and high net wealth individuals on corporate restructurings, joint ventures, M&A transactions and private equity transactions.

Ogier partner Bertrand Geradin, who heads the Luxembourg corporate law team, said: “This is a natural evolution of our offering – our Luxembourg team was established five years ago with just four members of staff, and today we have 32 members of the team including six partners.

“We see significant growth potential in dedicating a team to the German market, particularly in the areas of corporate and finance law, where we have grown our capability significantly in the last 12 months.”

Pilorget is a native German speaker who studied in Germany and in the US and France before starting his legal career with a Magic Circle firm.
