Fourteen firms win places on Homes Communities Agency panel

The public organisation, which has an investment budget in excess of £5bn, has formed a national panel and three regional sub-panels for the central, south and north of England.

Berwin Leighton Paisner, Eversheds, Pinsent Masons and Trowers & Hamlins have been appointed to the national panel.

Appointees to the central panel are Browne Jacobson, Denton Wilde Sapte and Hewitsons. Ashfords, Bond Pearce, Denton Wilde Sapte, DLA Piper and Hammonds are on the south panel, while Forshaws, Pannone and Walker Morris join the northern list.

Firms will advise on areas including social housing and regeneration, PPP, employment, litigation, finance and tax.

The HCA was created in December 2008 through the merger of the Housing Corporation and English Partnerships and is currently counseled by advisers to the legacy organisations.

It launched a tender for the panel last September (21 September 2009).

The new panel will run for a period of four years from April 2010.
