Fladgate is to send its future trainees to the University of Law to study the Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) and Legal Practice Course (LPC).
The Holborn-based firm has made changes to its recruitment process in recent months. As revealed by Lawyer 2B in May, it has increased its trainee intake from four to six, and will now recruit every year as opposed to every other year. The firm will also now pay law school fees, something it never used to do.
It is the first time that Fladgate has signed a deal with any university provider.
Training principal Philip Turner, said: “The partnership with ULaw is the next exciting step in the upgrading of the Fladgate offering to prospective trainees. We will work closely with ULaw to ensure that our trainees receive the best possible preparation for their career at Fladgate on an academic, commercial and practical basis.”
