Five’s director of legal and business affairs Colin Campbell will leave the channel, having been with it since its creation in 1997.

Campbell is set to retire by the end of the year, citing the desire to have more time and freedom to pursue different ambitions, as first revealed on www.thelawyer.com (17 October).

Campbell’s roles will be split between Five’s head of legal and regulatory compliance Paul Chinnery and company secretary and managing director for content Lisa Opie.

Chinnery will be promoted to become head of legal affairs, while Opie will take charge of the channel’s business affairs department, which handles contracts with programme suppliers.

Five’s chief executive Jane Lighting wished Campbell well for the future.
