The DWP said the contract was awarded to FFW on the basis of its ‘Meat’ strategy, which stands for the ‘most economically advantageous tender’.
Head of employment and pensions at FFW Richard Kenyon will lead the relationship.
This is a relet and expansion of a previous contract, which had reached the end of its term, whereby FFW was providing HR support. The new contract will run from February 2010 to January 2013.
None of the other existing arrangements have been put up for tender. The DWP is advised by DLA Piper on information services and IT and Sharpe Pritchard on commercial matters. DWP Estates, which looks after the department’s properties, is advised by Lovells.
