Fenwick suffers further litigation exit

Fenwick & West has been hit with yet another departure in litigation, this time to Los Angeles firm Quinn Emanuel Urquhart Oliver & Hedges.
Partner Claude Stern, an intellectual property specialist, has jumped shipped to Quinn Emanuel. His move follows the surprise defection earlier this year of Fenwick’s former litigation group chairman Timothy Roake to Gibson Dunn & Crutcher.
Before Roake, Patricia Lucas, a senior litigation partner at Fenwick’s Palo Alto office, left to become a judge, while John Steele departed for San Francisco firm Rogers Joseph O’Donnell & Phillip.
