Eversheds has hired former Severn Trent general counsel Clive Mottram as a member of its water practice.
Mottram joins the firm as a consultant, having spent 21 years at the water company in roles including head of legal, general counsel and company secretary.
Eversheds partner and head of the utility sector group Amrik Kandola said: “Clive’s knowledge and understanding of the utility sector – and more specifically the water sector – is second to none. With Clive as a member of the team we look forward to developing and building on our existing client base.”
Mottram comes to Eversheds from building and materials company Lafarge, where he was company secretary and legal director. He has also worked at DLA Piper, where he set up a UK water practice. He left Severn Trent in 2007 after a restructure saw his role eliminated.
