The goal of our In-house Counsel as Business Partner conference has always been to support in-house lawyers on all levels and aspects of their job: individual development, the in-house legal function and the business they work for.
With the pandemic physically separating us from our colleagues and therefore limiting peer-to-peer knowledge exchange, it has never been more important for the community to come together, share ideas and support each other.
We worked hard to re-design the 2020 edition of the conference into an event that is engaging, interactive but most importantly accessible to all in-house lawyers looking for inspiration, reassurance and positivity.
The three–day programme focused on the strategic role of the in-house lawyer in guiding their business through this period of change, from how we embrace the new normal, to delivering transformative change, building resilience and just getting things done.
We remain committed to hosting high-level, quality debates, and our online discussions bring together some of the most interesting thinkers and leaders in law.
Thank you to everyone that joined us this year, to make the 2020 event a huge success.
See you next year!
Catrin Griffiths, Editor, The Lawyer
During the last 6 months businesses have had to pivot quickly and change their focus within days; risk tolerance was also higher than usual with most companies practicing a “let’s just do it” mentality. Now companies have begun the move away from this mentality and back to a more strategic, longer-term way thinking, with legal team having to shift accordingly and provide the needed support.
Has your legal function simply revised the strategic plans it had in place at the start of the year, or have you started from scratch with this?
The in-house Counsel as Business Partner virtual conference will continue to support in-house lawyers on all levels and aspects of their job: personal development, team success and business growth.
If you are passionate about your evolving role as an in-house lawyer and open to embracing a new way of connecting with your peers, then register your interest to join us next year.
