DWF has taken the first step after its tie-up with Ricksons in implementing its postmerger strategy, as the firm boosts its real estate offering in Liverpool and Preston.
DWF has bolstered its Liverpool-based construction practice with partners Neil Hunter and Julian Ives from Liverpool-based construction firm Knowles Solicitors.
The move is the result of an agreement between DWF and the US-based consultancy Hill International, which bought Knowles in September 2006.
DWF managing partner Andrew Leaitherland said: “We’ve taken Hill’s legal arm and we have an ongoing referral work arrangement with them. This is stage one of very many stages in our strategy.”
As part of the firm’s wider strategy to focus on real estate, litigation, corporate, banking and finance, DWF real estate partner Roland Maguire has also relocated from the firm’s Manchester office to Preston.
