DLA Piper has earned a perfect score for the seventh consecutive year on the Human Rights Campaign’s (HRC’s) 2015 Corporate Equality Index (CEI). The perfect score distinguishes the firm as a ‘Best Place to Work for LGBT Equality’.
The 2015 CEI assessed the policies and practices of 971 large US employers relating to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) employees, evaluating LGBT-related policies and practices, including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive healthcare benefits, competency programmes and public engagement with the LGBT community.
As part of DLA Piper’s Diversity and Inclusion initiative, the US LGBT Resource Group serves as a forum and advisory body on matters important to the LGBT community and provides opportunities for engagement in a variety of projects. The firm annually celebrates LGBT Pride Month in the US, with hundreds of lawyers and staff participating in nationally video-conferenced workshops designed to raise awareness of LGBT-related issues.
