Dibbs loses transport partner

Barnett Alexander Chart has poached a transport partner from City firm Dibb Lupton Alsop.

Ashok Ghosh joined the firm's rail and transport group and will specialise in PFI and capital work. He took one unnamed major client with him in the move.

He says: “One very big client did move with me, but I think that was partly because of the relationship I had with them and partly because of the firm I've come to.”

Peter Moody, managing partner at Barnett Alexander, says Ghosh was appointed because of his PFI skills and reputation within the sector.

He says: “He's known for his expertise in rail and particularly for his work with the Jubilee Line extension. We're delighted to have a lawyer like Ashok on board.”

Ghosh spent two years at Dibb Lupton Alsop after six years with London Underground. Before that he was in local government.

Other changes at Barnett Alexander concern Richard Stader and Stuart Long, who are promoted from senior associate level to partners. Stader works in the corporate and finance litigation group and Long is part of the corporate finance group.
