Data business Datalogic has appointed Raffaele Zucca, formerly Europe general counsel at automotive technology company Denso, as its new global general counsel.

Zucca joined Datalogic in July, heading a team of 25 across legal, IP, governance and compliance.

He replaced Federica Lolli, who left the company late last year.

Zucca spent nine years at Denso, where he was general counsel and compliance officer for Denso in Europe, the Middle East and Africa and South America.

His role at Denso Europe has been taken by Takaya Suzuki, who relocated from the Japanese company’s parent.

Earlier this year Denso Europe named Sadahiro Usui as its new CEO and president, replacing Masato Nakagawa. Nakagawa is to focus on his role as the company’s Europe chief technology officer.
