Danish invaders put new man in London

Danish firm Kromann & Munter is expanding its London operation to target new Danish companies setting up in the UK.

The firm is sending one its senior partners from Copenhagen to head up the London office, which has previously been run by a more junior lawyer, Claus Hansen.

From January, Peter Friis will take over the daily running of the London office and Hansen will return to Copenhagen to head a team of lawyers to support the London office. The team will handle Danish law.

The firm, which has been in London since 1991, currently has only one lawyer in London but is planning to recruit more. It forms part of the shared office facilities of the Scandinavian Law Alliance which the firm entered into in 1991 with two firms in Sweden and Norway.

Hansen said: “As more Danish firms move into the UK there is more demand for our services in London.”
