Conyers Dill & Pearman acted as special Bermuda counsel to The Bank of N.T Butterfield & Son Limited in connection with its $287.5m initial public offering of 12,234,042 voting ordinary shares on the New York Stock Exchange at a price of $23.50 per common share.

Butterfield is Bermuda’s first and largest independent bank.

Directors David Cooke and Sophia Greaves and Associate Edward Rance of Conyers Dill & Pearman’s Bermuda office advised on the matter, working alongside Wachtell, Lipton, Rozen & Katz for Butterfield and Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP for the underwriters in the IPO.
