By Daniel Rupprecht, Director – eDiscovery consulting, Competition & Investigations A knock on the door With substantial fines, potentially into the millions, regulatory investigations are a major legal risk to corporations. Many such investigations start with a bang – at least a bang on the door in the form of a dawn raid. A dawn […]

From Paper to Digital: Clearing a Dead Room

Introduction On a recent matter, I began the usual process of understanding the totality of the documentation that might be at issue, something which is never straightforward. I started with a discussion of custodians and date ranges followed by the typical questions related to data sources, devices, cloud storage and archived information. All seemed to […]

On-demand Webinar: Looking after ourselves and each other

Being a purposeful company also means putting people first. How can your organisation become a place where employees thrive, not just survive and get on with work?  “Prevention is better than cure” In this interview, Simply Business general counsel Joanne Theodoulou together with Bupa group legal director Janet McCarthy talk about “looking after ourselves and each other”. The discussion starts by acknowledging that we are not used to thinking about our mental health in quite the same way we do about our physical health, and that most of us can’t recognise the signs until they manifest in a physical way.
