Stephen Rosen, partner and head of Collyer Bristow’s banking and financial disputes team, has been recognised in this year’s Hot 100 – The Lawyer magazine’s annual review of law firm talent.

Stephen started the firm’s conflict-free banking and financial disputes group back in 2010 and has grown it successfully to seven full-time lawyers dealing with a wide range of complex disputes involving banks, brokers, hedge funds and other market participants. His group frequently finds itself taking on large City and international law firms in claims relating to financial markets, banking disputes and financial product mis-selling or manipulation; including cases relating to, foreign exchange derivatives, complex interest rate hedges and LIBOR.

Commenting on the announcement Daniel Simon, Collyer Bristow’s senior partner, said: “We are delighted at Stephen’s inclusion in this year’s Hot 100; it is a real testament to his enthusiasm, hard work and dedication to his clients, as well as the exceptional quality of the lawyers in his team.”

Recently, Stephen has formed Lawyers for Banking Standards, an association of UK law firms seeking to lobby the government to bring about the law and regulatory reform necessary to compensate businesses who have been victims of wrongdoing by banks. In 2015 he launched the Banking Litigation Network which has grown rapidly to include law firm members in 18 jurisdictions that have a specialisation in handling claims against banks.
