Clifford Chance Singapore M&A head Lee Taylor has joined King & Spalding in Singapore.

Taylor, who is joining after over 20 years at the magic circle firm, is expected to lead the firm’s corporate practice group in Asia Pacific.

King & Spalding corporate practice group leader Keith Townsend said that the addition will boost the firm’s capability in the financial institutions, healthcare and energy space.

“We also share a number of international clients in common, which presents exciting prospects for cross-office collaborations in markets such as New York, London, Tokyo and Dubai. We are pleased to have him join our team,” he said.

The office, which opened in 2010, now has a total of 30 lawyers.

Taylor has represented clients such as Barclays, National Australia Bank, ABN AMRO, 3i, Affinity Equity Partners, Intermediate Capital Group, Carlyle, Platinum Equity Partners, Standard Chartered Private Equity, EQT, the IFC, and Credit Suisse.

This month, the firm named three new office managing partners across its network, including Thomas Sprange QC in London, who is replacing M&A partner Gary Pegg; Mark Jensen in Washington DC; and Mark Thigpen in Charlotte.
