Clifford Chance has lost its second tax partner in as many weeks.
New Zealander Michael Brosnahan, a partner since 2003, is to join Cadwalader Wickersham & Taft as a partner in its London office.
The departure follows the announcement last week that another partner in Clifford Chances’s tax team, James Anderson, is leaving the firm to become Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom’s second tax partner in the City. The exits reduce the number of tax partners in Clifford Chance’s London tax team to 17.
Brosnahan, who joined CC in 1997, specialises in the tax aspects of structured finance transactions, including securitisations, and in the taxation of financial institutions generally.
