Carey Olsen has been ranked as the third largest offshore law firm in The Lawyer’s 2016 Offshore Survey.
The firm has risen in the table following a 10 per cent increase in the number of qualified lawyers over the past year to a total of 188. The survey also positions Carey Olsen at the top of the rankings in both Guernsey and Jersey, making its presence in the Channel Islands the largest of any law firm.
2015 was a significant year for the firm; it launched a BVI dispute resolution and litigation practice under the leadership of BVI practitioner Ben Mays,opened a Singapore office led by corporate and ex-Allen & Overy partner Linda Lee and greatly expanded its BVI and Cayman offices.
