Berrymans Lace Mawer has promoted six new partners, one fewer than last year.
All six new partners are in the personal injury group, with four of them in Manchester, one in Liverpool and one in Stockton-on-Tees.
Berrymans Lace Mawer’s National Senior Partner, Terry Renouf, said: “Their appointments reflect a growth in our business, the need to maintain client service, succession planning and is the result of not only their hard work and commitment, but also the firm’s investment in its people.”
Though fewer in number than last year, the promotion round is nonetheless the biggest in the four years since 2004-05, when the firm promoted eight to the partnership.
It follows a promotion policy outlined last by Renouf last year, which said the expansion of the partnership is an “essential part” of the firm’s growth strategy and brings the total partnership to 121 members.
The new partners are:
Paul Lever, Personal injury – Manchester
Cathy Mortimer, Personal injury – Manchester
David Spencer, Personal injury – Manchester
Paula Whittell, Personal injury – Manchester
Stuart Furniss, Personal injury – Liverpool
Ros Danson, Personal injury – Stockton-on-Tees
