Known for hosting powerful speakers that deliver business-critical information, The Lawyer’s GC Strategy Summit taking place between 30th September and 2nd October is a must-attend event. The 3-day virtual conference provides highly interactive and engaging formats including keynote presentations, TED-style talks, panel debates and more intimate roundtable discussions enabling effective learning and peer-to-peer knowledge sharing.

Attendees have over 20 different sessions to choose from, including this 60-minute virtual roundtable discussion on At risk from within – how should GCs account for DPO findings taking place at 14:00 BST on the 30th September and again on the 2nd October.

This session will share case studies and examine if a DPO’s insider knowledge of corporate processes and procedures is an asset or potential liability for organizations dealing with security and privacy issues. Discussion topics include whether data governance should be split across more than one role, and whether you can protect the “audit” findings of a DPO.
