Guernsey's AO Hall moves up the rankings slightly this year by dint of its lawyer numbers, which remained static at 13. However, the firm promoted corporate lawyer Matt Sanders to its partnership, bringing the number of partners to five.
One development was the launch of an employment and pensions team following the hire of senior associate Victoria Pratt from Babbé. The team includes four lawyers.
AO Hall also recruited barrister Gregory Tee as a senior associate.
The firm's deal and case list in 2013 included developing a corporate healthcare trust for Peregrine Trustees, a highly unusual vehicle in Guernsey, and launching a commercial property matched lending exchange for Relendex by establishing a protected cell company: a world first.
