Andrew Hockton recently acted in a Court of Protection case where the court authorised urgent treatment of breast cancer for patient lacking capacity.
Mr Justice Keehan gave judgment in a serious medical treatment case, authorising urgent breast surgery on a patient, JT, following a diagnosis of cancer. JT had suffered from paranoid schizophrenia for many years and lacked capacity.
Andrew Hockton was instructed by the Official Solicitor, on behalf of JT.
