Showcasing ‘best of breed’ providers in the global private banking, wealth management and trusted adviser communities, the awards recognise companies, teams and individuals which the prestigious panel of judges deem to have ‘demonstrated innovation and excellence during 2015’.
Alastair, a Dubai-based private capital lawyer , was recognised for his “focused and effective professional commitment … [and] impressively wide knowledge.”
Alastair advises local and international families, family offices and trustees on global wealth-holding structures, tax and relocation. His wide range of work includes advising clients on designing and implementing bespoke solutions to preserve family wealth for future generations, obtaining UK visas and citizenship and structuring UK and UAE property transactions.
He is also an active STEP member, having spoken at November’s STEP Arabia conference regarding UK tax and European succession issues. In addition, Alastair was an integral member of the working group which assisted in the development of the Dubai International Financial Centre’s Wills and Probate Registry Rules, a topic on which he will be speaking at the upcoming Academy & Finance Optimal Succession conference to be held in Dubai on 23-25 November 2015.
Alastair said: “I am particularly delighted to have received this award as it was judged by members of the local wealth management community, many of whom I have worked with following my move to the Dubai office two years ago. It’s extremely flattering that my peers chose me to receive this award.”
