DEAL: The Saudi British Bank and Alawwal bank entered into a merger agreement to create a franchise to support more opportunity for customers and help deliver new growth in an ambitious Kingdom. The deal values Alawwal Bank, partly owned by a consortium including Royal Bank of Scotland at USD 5 bn. Saudi British Bank partly owned by HSBC Holdings. The merger subjected to shareholder and regulatory approval.
