Zimmerman re-elected as Bingham chief

The Bingham McCutchen partnership has re-elected Jay Zimmerman as Chairman of the US firm.

The partnership selected Zimmerman to serve his fourth term and also re-elected San Francisco parnter Donn Pickett as vice chairman of the firm.

Under Zimmerman’s leadership, Bingham McCutchen has grown from a regional law firm based in Boston to a national firm specialising in corporate, finance and litigation.

Since Zimmerman took over as managing partner in 1994, Bingham has grown from 175 lawyers to more than 850.

During the past four years Bingham has merged with California corporate and private equity boutique Riordan & McKinzie, West Coast litigation firm McCutchen Doyle Brown & Enersen and Manhattan firm Richards & O’Neil.
