Birmingham-based Wragge & Co has promoted eight lawyers to director level, the firm's intermediate tier of seniority between associate and partner.
Real estate saw two of the new appointees, with one each in corporate, employment, construction litigation, finance litigation, banking and IT.
Senior partner Quentin Poole said the lawyers had been promoted as they had "consistently demonstrated a strong mix of technical expertise and commercial experience".
These new appointments take the total number of directors to 28.
The role was introduced three years ago to recognise associates who have exceptional levels of experience and skill and who have made outstanding contributions to the business. Responsibilities can include managing client relationships and even leading a particular practice area.
The new directors are: Patrick Arben (IT litigation), Toby Askin and Jonathon Wilkes (real estate), Catherine Clarke (corporate), Anna Fletcher (employment), Sue Ryan (construction litigation), Greg Standing (finance litigation) and Edward Sunderland (banking and finance).
