Wragges promotes just one in this year's round

Wragge & Co has made up just one lawyer to its partnership this year, a fall from last year’s total of nine.

Regulatory litigation specialist Andrew Litchfield will become a partner with effect from 1 May, becoming the eleventh commercial litigation partner at the firm.

Senior partner Quentin Poole (pictured) said: “Andrew’s an excellent lawyer whose clients appreciate his assured and practical approach to complex and high-pressure situations.

“Organisations face an unprecedented amount of regulation and need legal advisers they can trust to respond quickly and effectively. Andrew’s promotion provides additional partner-level capability to this growing area.”

Litchfield joined the firm as a trainee and since then has provided advice on health and safety, environmental pollution, food safety and trading standards prosecutions.

Last year the practice group that gained the greatest number of new partners at Wragges was real estate, which received four promotions. There were additional lawyers made up in IP, employment/human resources, finance litigation and corporate.
