Wragge & Co has scored healthcare developer Prime Public Partnerships as a new client, after its regular adviser Pinsents was conflicted out on a care centre development.
Wragges' first instruction from the client was to advise on the development of the Cronehill Primary Care Centre, which is due to open in spring 2005. After Pinsents was conflicted out of the project, the developer turned straight to Wragges rather than holding a tender process.
Wragges is now advising Prime on a number of bids under the Local Improvement Finance Trust Scheme. Real estate partner Mark Chester said that the firm hoped to receive further instructions from the company. "The deal went quite well from their perspective, so we hope to get more work." The client relationship partner will be Peter Thorne, who led this deal.
Prime, which is 50 per cent owned by a subsidiary of Barclays, is a Worcester-based company with around £200m of projects currently in progress.
