Wragges lawyers launch rival tech firm

Associates challenge City and regional pricing with new Technology Law Alliance

Two associates have quit Wragge & Co's technology team to form Technology Law Alliance, their own niche IT and e-commerce practice.
Jagvinder Kang and Stephen Ollershaw have worked for clients such as Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, BT and ITNet from Wragges' Birmingham office.
“We thought it was the ideal climate to launch. A lot of companies are looking to cut costs. We can offer quality advice and discounts of at least 30 per cent compared to larger City and regional law firms, which have higher overheads,” said Kang.
Kang added: “SMEs will welcome the fact that they can now take advantage of the quality and depth of advice which was previously outside their budgetary reach.”
Since launching in January, the firm has already started working for a FTSE100 company and a worldwide IT supplier.
