Wragge & Co has ended its partner promotions freeze by making up three new members in 2012.
Patrick Arben, Richard Goold and Jane Kola have all been made partner, with their appointments taking effect from 1 May 2012.
Arben is a dispute resolution specialist and part of the firm’s six-lawyer team that provides risk management and dispute resolution advice to IT and outsourcing clients. Goold is a corporate lawyer with a niche in tech while Kola is part of the firm’s pensions team.
In a statement, Wragges senior partner Quentin Poole said: “Richard, Patrick and Jane are perfect examples of what it takes to become a Wragge & Co partner. Each one excels in their given field, providing outstanding advice on often highly complex matters. They’re curious about clients and their worlds, framing their advice to match the client’s commercial context.”
“Importantly, they are role models within their teams, demonstrating the mix of client service, technical excellence, business development and leadership that marks them out as successful partner candidates. They’ve worked hard and have consistently shown they are of partnership calibre.”
Wragges made no internal partner promotions in 2011, instead focusing on bringing in external talent.
