Wragge Lawrence Graham & Co advises on eBay-Argos click-and-collect deal extension

The retail team at Wragge Lawrence Graham & Co has helped negotiate a significant extension to an existing high-profile agreement between eBay and Argos.

The team originally advised the high-street retail group on the 2013 pilot agreement between the parties, which gave eBay’s customers the option to collect goods purchased from eBay sellers from one of 150 Argos stores.

Following the success of the pilot, the Wragge Lawrence Graham & Co team, led by director Richard Smith and commercial IT and outsourcing solicitor Caroline McNally, was called upon again to help negotiate a large-scale extension to the pilot arrangements, which will enable consumers shopping on eBay to click and collect at around 650 Argos stores.

It is envisaged that up to 65,000 eBay sellers will offer items for sale for collection at a participating Argos store by the end of 2014, with this number expected to rise to 80,000 in 2015.
