Risk information provider World-Check has appointed its first ever general counsel, hiring Jonathan Beak from outsourcing company EMR Europe Insurance Services.
Beak will give legal advice to the senior management at World-Check and oversee all legal matters, including the use of external firms.

Beak began his career at Speechly Bircham and spent a year at Shell UK followed by five years as general counsel in the M&A group of GE Capital Services. Beak has been general counsel at EMR Europe since 2002.
