What was your first-ever job? Doing admin work in a high street legal practice.
What was your worst experience as a trainee? Having to do a whole six-month seat with the most obnoxious property partner - who shall remain nameless.
Where’s the best place to go if you want to find out what’s really going on in the office? The secretaries seem to know everything.
What time do you usually leave the office? Between 6pm and 7pm.
What do you do at weekends? Become a mum again.
What’s your favourite restaurant? Gordon Ramsey at Claridge’s.
If you weren’t a lawyer, what would you have been? I’d probably have liked to get into the property business.
Who’s your hero and why? My legal hero is Henry Brown, who taught me to be a compassionate lawyer when I was at Birkbeck Montagu.
What’s the best thing about your job? Having clients, who become friends, from all over the world.
What’s the toughest thing about your job? Juggling my work and family life.
What’s your biggest work/career mistake and what did you learn from it? Not having the confidence to expand the immigration team sooner than I did.
What car do you drive? Audi estate.
What book are you currently reading? The Life of Pi by Yann Martel.

What’s your favourite children’s book? Who’s afraid of the big bad book? by Lauren Child.
What’s the most exciting deal/case you’ve worked on and why? We were instructed two days before the New Year’s Honours List was published to obtain British citizenship for a client so that he was eligible to receive a knighthood.
If you were stranded on a desert island, what two luxury items would you take? A shower and the smell of my children sleeping - in a bottle.
What’s the worst partner conference location you’ve attended and why? Honestly, all of our conference locations have been fantastic.
What’s the longest you’ve worked without sleep? Eighteen hours as a trainee working on an IP matter.
If a movie was being made about your life, which actor would play you and why? Shilpa Shetty.
Who would you least like to be stuck in a lift with? Anyone who’s ever been in Big Brother.
