The Lawyer Global Litigation Top 50 report is the only ranking of international law firms by litigation and arbitration revenue and is essential reading for anyone seeking to benchmark their litigation and dispute resolution practices...
This year, The Lawyer’s annual ranking of the largest UK law firms by turnover is available as an interactive, digital benchmarking tool. For the first time this will allow you to manipulate each data set against the metrics of your choice.
A steering committee has been established to set up a bilateral British-Japanese law association.
Denton Hall partner Richard Playle, who is on the committee, said that the association aimed to encourage greater understanding between the two legal professions.
He said it was hoped that the group would encourage training and education initiatives as well promoting a general cultural awareness between the two countries.
Playle said he wanted two or three Japanese lawyers in the UK to join the steering committee and then stand for election. He also hoped the establishment of the UK association would prompt the formation of a sister organisation in Japan.
Playle, whose specific task is to draw up the new group's constitution, added: "We are hoping for as broad a membership as possible, and a high profile inaugural reception at the Law Society in the autumn."
