Winston & Strawn is boosting its Geneva office with the hire of Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe corporate partner and head of pro bono Carl Liederman.
Liederman joins from Orrick’s London office, where he was head of the firm’s European M&A practice. He becomes the first corporate partner in Winston & Strawn’s Geneva office, which already has three contentious partners.
Liederman’s clients have included Citigroup, JPMorgan Chase, and Microsoft as well as other major technology and communications companies.
Geneva managing partner Marc Palay said Liederman’s hire would complement the office’s existing arbitration and litigation expertise.
Liederman led Orrick’s international pro bono activities and was instrumental in involving the firm with sports charity Right To Play, of which he is a director.
