Winston & Strawn launches London trainee programme

US-based firm Winston & Strawn is launching a training contract programme and vacation scheme in its London office, with an application deadline of 31 December 2012.
The firm, which has 11 offices globally, is currently accepting training contract applications from students who are studying or have completed the legal practice course, with the first trainee due to start in September 2013.
Applications are also being sought for vacation scheme places in Easter and Summer 2013.
Although not a requirement the firm is particularly interested in applications from those with scientific or electronic engineering backgrounds or with masters degrees in competition law.
Applicants should send a CV and covering letter by email to traineesLN@winston.com by 31 December 2012.
The news comes after fellow US firms Milbank Tweed Hadley & McCloy (28 November 2012) and Gibson Dunn & Crutcher announced plans to launch training programmes and summer vacation schemes for their London offices. (31 October 2012)

Maybe I should focus more on competition law when saying why them or me?..Let's please discuss that further
