CMS Cameron McKenna has launched a student competition to mark its merger with two members firms of the CMS alliance.

Camerons has signed an agreement that saw the firm merge its Moscow operations with CMS Hasche Sigle and CMS Bureau Francis Lefebvre. The deal, which took place at the start of the year has created the largest office of any firm in Russia, with 150 fee earners.

The largest competitor in the region is Clifford Chances Moscow office, with 117 fee-earners. The move will be the first full merger of alliance members, which previously operated as separate firms under the CMS brand.
