Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati has raided Pillsbury Winthrop for a team of partners to launch its new San Diego office.
The group of three partners - patent litigator Alexandra Mahaney, IP specialist Jeffrey Guise and biotech expert Vicki Norton – are leaving after just over a year at Pillsbury. The trio joined in early 2003 from the now defunct Brobeck Phleger & Harrison.
Mahaney, Guise and Norton are expected to move to Wilson Sonsini’s new San Diego office, which was established earlier this month and will focus on the biotech sector, within weeks.
Meanwhile, Chadbourne & Parke has re-elected its managing partner Charles O’Neill for a three-year term. Litigation partner Thomas Riley has been newly elected to the firm’s five-person management committee.
