WIGGIN & Co partner Stephen Cook (pictured above) has joined longstanding client Flextech as its general counsel and an executive director.
Cook's appointment is a boost for the #850m pay-TV company, which was hit by the death in August of its group chief executive Roger Luard.
Cook has advised Flextech - the owner of interests in Bravo and UK Living - since 1987 and last year acted for the company on its high-profile joint venture with the BBC.
The joint venture will see the launch of a number of new channels on the digital television market.
Cook joined niche media and entertainment practice Wiggin & Co two years ago.
He will continue to act as a consultant to the firm and said that he would continue to work closely with his colleagues.
Wiggin & Co's managing partner Mike Turner said: "We are delighted by Stephen's appointment. This is testimony to our commitment to close working relationships between the firm's partners and clients."
