White & Case has hired Paul Weiss Rifkind Wharton & Garrison counsel Gabor Molnar as a partner for its Johannesburg office.
Molnar, who will focus on US securities work, will be based in London initially, but will move to South Africa as part of the firm's continued focus on the Europe, Middle East and Africa (Emea) region.
Molnar's experience includes US securities, debt and equity capital markets work, with a particular focus on advising European and South African companies and private equity firms on international and US debt and equity capital markets.
Most recently he has represented South African private equity firms and their portfolio companies on leveraged finance transactions involving offerings of high-yield debt securities in the international capital markets.
Gabor's addition is part of the firm's strategy to expand its banking and debt and equity capital markets capabilities across Emea in order to provide cross-border coverage to clients.
