White & Case has strengthened its New York capital markets practice with the hire of Linklaters partner Adele Hogan.
Hogan, who leaves the magic circle firm after two years, joined Linklaters when the firm went on a hiring spree in 2005 in a bid to ramp up its New York capabilities. She was one of a string of 14 lawyers brought into the magic circle firm’s partnership within a two year period (www.thelawyer.com, 3 November 2005).
Before joining Linklaters Hogan, who is currently the chair of the securities regulation committee of the New York City Bar Association, was a senior attorney at Cravath Swaine & Moore.
Commenting on Hogan’s appointment John Donovan, co-chair of White & Case’s capital markets and securities practice, said: "Adele's extensive background in securities work will be a great asset to our New York practice, and especially to our clients who constantly face new issues and regulations in their respective industries."
