White & Case has made a triple hire for its London banking and capital markets group, raiding Allen & Overy (A&O), Cadwalader Wickersham & Taft and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
Clare Calver, until now an associate at A&O, joins the firm’s partnership while former EBRD counsel Massimo Galli and former Cadwalader special counsel Jonathan Weinberg have both joined as counsel.
Calver, who has 10 years bank finance experience, will initially be based in London though will later relocate to Paris, at a time to be confirmed. Her focus will be on London-based banks focusing on the French market as well as French banks taking lead mandated arranger roles on leveraged finance transactions involving a French target or bidder.
Galli, who has experience of Italian transactions, will focus on banking and leveraged finance. Weinberg’s focus is on restructuring transactions as well as banking and acquisition finance.
