White & Case has re-elected its global chairman Hugh Verrier for a second four-year term after he stood unopposed for the position.

Hugh Verrier
Verrier was elected to his first term as chairman in August 2007. A project finance lawyer, he was a member of the firm’s management board between 2004-07.
In a statement Verrier said: “We’re building a truly global law firm, with a clear global strategy and a one-firm culture. To meet our clients’ needs, we need to deliver our services more efficiently, drawing on the resources around the world that best serve our clients.”
The US firm’s election process is now set to continue to the election of its eight-member partnership committee, the members of which serve on the compensation committee and the new partners committee.
Following the election of the partnership committee, Verrier will appoint the firm’s executive committee.

Poor decision in my view, W&C have had a horrendous 4 years in London & Middle East and the senior management team have no idea on how to look after their lawyers and support staff
