White & Case corporate head leaves for oil job" />White & Case joint corporate head Tim Goodell is to leave the firm for an in-house role at US oil company Hess Corporation.
New York-based Goodell, who will join Hess as general counsel, was a lawyer at the firm since 1984 and served as a member of the White & Case partnership committee.
In a statement issued by White & Case firm chairman Hugh Verrier said: "Tim has been an outstanding colleague, well regarded across the firm and highly respected by his clients and peers. He has cultivated both team and client relationships, inspiring a spirit of collaboration across the firm and building a team of talented individuals who will carry his legacy forward to serve our clients."
Goodell's departure comes after the firm announced its new management structure after consultant McKinsey & Co completed a review of the firm's international strategy and global investment.
The firm will now be managed under key regional jurisdictions including the Americas, Asia and Europe and the Middle East and Africa. Each group has a range of practice group heads leading the new management structure.
In the US New York-based corporate partner Neal Greanley will take up the post of executive partner for the office while David Koschik is to chair the Americas operations committee.
